Our Story
AnwaKala was born from a simple, heartfelt observation â some of the most beautiful art in India never leaves the walls of the homes where it was created.
It started with family. We watched our mother pour hours into stunning paintings â works full of colour, emotion, and story â only for them to sit quietly in the living room, admired by a handful of visitors. We knew there were people out there who would cherish these pieces, hang them in their homes, gift them to loved ones. They just had no way to find each other.
That's the gap AnwaKala exists to close.

"AnwaKala" draws from the essence of anwa â a reflection of many forms â and kala (ā¤ā¤˛ā¤ž), the Hindi and Marathi word for art.
Together, it represents the many forms of art and the many hands that create it. One platform, countless expressions.
Built with Family, Open to Everyone
We started by listing the artwork of our own family â our mother's paintings, our cousins' sketches, a relative's textile art. That spirit hasn't changed. Every artist who joins AnwaKala becomes part of this family.
